“High Sol! High Sol! High Sol!” Jenny and her friend were chanting in our booth after drinking for an hour or so. I had barfined Jenny shortly after arriving in the bar. For the next hour, she attempted to talk John into barfining her cherry-girl friend. John didn’t want to because he wasn’t allowed to barfine, and wasn’t sure if there would be a loop hole for cherry girls. Allen didn’t want to barfine her because it was a waste of money.

Don’t put bargirls ahead of your friends.

So, I barfined her, and agreed to bar-hopping only. That is something I’d never done and vowed to never do, but at that point, I was wanting to make Jenny happy. What can I say? I was love struck.

John laughed with me and congratulated me. Allen practically ridiculed me.

“So, you want to boom boom?” I asked the cherry girl jokingly.

“Yes!”

The two girls laughed.

“She wants 100,000 pesos,” Jenny said to me.

To this, Allen’s beer went spurting out of his mouth. “You’re joking!”

The girls’ amusement turned quickly to frowns.

“Hey, she’s nice girl!” said Jenny in defense of her friend.

“Good luck finding it!” said Allen. I wasn’t sure at that point what his motivations were as he said earlier he would never take a cherry girl again. I guess it was probably the cheap-skate mind blowing a gasket at what he considered a high price for a chubby girl’s virginity. In any event, I wanted to shift the mood back to the party it was a moment ago.

“You guys going to find some girls and come to High Society or am I going by myself?” I said to them.

“Fuck it, let’s go. I can find a cheap girl at High Society. None of this 3,000 or … 100,000 girls who think they are special,” for the first-time Allen was irritating me. Though it was probably because I had fallen so hard for this girl, who was just a bargirl. There is a lesson here, don’t put bargirls ahead of your friends.

Though, it did make me wonder how much he got away with paying for his cherry girl several years ago. I never did find out.
